We have lift-off!

September 5, 2016

So you may have seen the news release announcing that some of our team are embarking on a gruelling challenge next month / this month. On 14 September our Flood Re team will set out from Land’s End on the 1,120 mile journey to John o’Groats; a mission they hope to complete by Saturday 24 September.

As a way to keep our followers up to speed, we have created this webpage and a dedicated blog where we’ll be documenting our journey so you can track our progress – so thanks for swinging by! We’ll also be posting on our Twitter and Facebook pages so use the hashtag #FloodReTour to join the conversation!

Joining the cycling team will be our very own Harriet Boughton, Chris Bradbury and Andrew Creedon – who are intending to cycle the entire route and they’ll be joined by 16 others from Flood Re on various legs along the way.

The aim of the tour across the UK is to allow our team to visit flood affected communities each day and speak with people up and down the country about their experiences. The team will be holding Q&A sessions with local residents, as well as updating local media outlets, councillors and MPs about Flood Re’s progress to date.

As well as visiting places which have been affected by flooding, we’re raising funds for the British Red Cross, the National Flood Forum and the Scottish Flood Forum to help those affected by flood events. You can check out our sponsorship page here.

Keep an eye on this blog for more updates and if you’d like to meet the team then get in touch: remfloodre@remarkablegroup.co.uk.
