Introducing one of our keen team, Head of Insurer relations Andrew Creedon who’s no stranger to a cycling challenge!

Name: Andrew Creedon

Age: 54

What spurred you on to put your best foot forward and cycle the #FloodReTour Land’s End to John O’Groats bike ride?

I think it’s a combination of taking time out to see some of the flood affected areas, promoting the message that the scheme is live and affordable flood insurance is available but also getting a little fitter along the way!

How has the training been going?

It’s going ok but time is running out…

What is your longest training ride?

So far, 50 miles

Any embarrassing or proud moments during training?

Most embarrassing has been the faces I must be pulling going up hills!

What are you most looking forward to on the tour?

Seeing Scotland

What are you least looking forward to on the tour?

The hills particularly in Cornwall

Have you ever done anything like this before?

Yes, I cycled 300 miles from Edinburgh to Liverpool but it was a few years ago and certainly not over 1,000 miles!

One thing that you won’t be without during the cycle ride e.g. memento (excluding the obvious water etc.):

Chamois cream

Do you have a message for the flood affected communities you are going to visit en route?

It’s simple: shop around and you will find affordable cover
